This unit covers the competency TAADEL403A: Facilitate individual learning, and the following elements:
*Element 1 - Identify individual learning facilitation requirements
*Element 2 - Establish the learning/facilitation relationship
*Element 3 - Maintain and develop the learning/facilitation relationship
*Element 4 - Close and evaluate the learning/facilitation relationship
and is typically required by trainers/facilitators, supervisors, managers, leaders, practitioners, teachers, assessors and consultants.

Two major techniques to facilitate individual learning, derived from mentoring and coaching , are explored. Other instructional techniques, such as tutoring, may also be appropriate. The trainer/facilitator may use these techniques with one learner or individual learners in a small group context. Learning/facilitation relationships may take a number of forms including structured/semi-structured activities and formal/informal agreements. They may be independent of or part of a broad learning and delivery strategy. Identifying which learners and learning contexts benefit from individual learning/facilitation forms part of this competency.

You will be required to create a portfolio of evidence containing the following: a diary with contact times and overview showing learner progress and the developing relationship over time; an evaluation form from each individual participating in a learning relationship with you and an audio/video demonstration (of at least 5 mins. duration) of your communication style with each of the individuals
